Free PDF to Image Converter: Turn PDF Pages into PNG, JPG or WEBP

The Antiloom PDF to Image Converter transforms any PDF document into high-quality pictures in a few seconds. Choose PNG for crisp graphics, JPG for small and compatible files, or WEBP for modern, lightweight images. Every page is rendered directly inside your browser, so there is nothing to install, no account to create and no file to upload to a server.

Key features

  • Three output formats: export pages as PNG, JPG or WEBP with one click.
  • Resolution control: pick anything from 72 DPI for quick previews up to 400 DPI for print-ready quality.
  • Quality slider: balance sharpness and file size for JPG and WEBP exports.
  • Page selection: convert the whole document or only the pages you type, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  • Transparent background: keep transparency in PNG and WEBP files when the PDF has no background of its own, so you can place pages over other designs.
  • Password-protected PDFs: enter the password once and convert as usual.
  • Single or bulk download: save each image separately, or grab every selected page in one ZIP file.

How to convert a PDF to images

  1. Drag your PDF onto the upload area, or tap Choose PDF to select it from your device.
  2. Pick PNG, JPG or WEBP as the output format.
  3. Set the resolution and, if you like, enter the pages you want to convert.
  4. Press Convert to images and watch the previews appear page by page.
  5. Download single images, or press Download ZIP to save everything together.

PNG vs JPG vs WEBP: which format should you choose?

PNG is lossless, which makes it ideal for text-heavy pages, charts, screenshots, logos and diagrams. Edges stay sharp and nothing is blurred by compression, although files are larger. PNG is also the best choice when you need a transparent background.

JPG is the universal choice. Photos, scanned documents and magazine pages compress well, and every phone, app and website accepts them. Because JPG has no transparency, pages are always placed on a white background.

WEBP usually produces the smallest files at similar visual quality, which helps websites load faster and saves storage space. All current browsers support it, though a few older editing programs may not open it yet. When in doubt, pick PNG for sharpness or JPG for maximum compatibility.

Choosing the right resolution

Resolution decides how many pixels each page contains. Use 72 or 96 DPI for thumbnails and quick sharing, 150 DPI for everyday screens and presentations, 200 to 300 DPI for printing and detailed reading, and 400 DPI when you need to zoom into fine print or small illustrations. Higher values create sharper but heavier images. Extremely large pages are scaled down automatically to keep your browser stable.

Private by design

Many online converters upload your documents to a remote server. This tool does not. The conversion runs entirely on your own device, which means contracts, invoices, certificates and ID documents never leave your phone or computer. Close the tab and everything is gone.

Popular ways to use it

  • Share a single page of a long PDF on WhatsApp or social media.
  • Create thumbnails and cover images for blog posts, courses and presentations.
  • Insert PDF pages into Word, PowerPoint, Canva or Photoshop.
  • Save study notes, e-book pages or forms as pictures for offline viewing.
  • Submit documents to portals that accept only JPG or PNG files.

Tips for the best results

Start with 150 DPI and raise it only if the text looks soft. Choose PNG for pages with small text, and JPG or WEBP for photo-heavy pages to keep files light. If a very large PDF feels slow, convert a few pages at a time using the pages box.

Need to go the other way?

If you want to combine photos or scans into a single document, try Instant PDF Camera ( JPG/WEBP/PNG ) { convert image to PDF }. It captures or imports images and exports them as a tidy PDF, which makes it the perfect partner to this converter.

Frequently asked questions

Is this PDF to image converter really free?

Yes. There is no limit on conversions, no watermark and no sign-up.

Will the quality of my images drop?

PNG output is lossless. For JPG and WEBP, keep the quality slider near 90 percent for results that look identical to the original on most screens.

Why is my PDF asking for a password?

The document is encrypted. Enter the password you were given and the pages will convert as usual. The password is used only inside your browser.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The tool is built for phones, tablets and desktops. Very large PDFs convert faster at a lower DPI. For stability, files up to 100 MB and 300 pages per run are supported.

Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Type ranges such as 2-4, 7 in the pages box, or leave it empty to convert every page.
